About
My name is Hima Dasika and I am an event planner in the hospitality/restaurant industry. Food has always been a hobby of mine – from trying out new restaurants, to cooking new and interesting cuisines, to hosting dinner parties for friends and family. I just moved back to the NYC area after living in Washington DC for four years. I will always consider New York City my home and am so excited to be back in the city that in my opinion has the best of the best in terms of food and restaurants. I just started my own company called Dewdrop Special Events and since I have a bit more free time to experiment with my cooking, I thought I would share my cooking experiences with you. I hope you, as a reader, enjoy my blog posts and I welcome feedback from each and everyone of you! To my friends and family – thank you for your continuous support in all my endeavours!!

Hi Hima,
Namrata Awasthi just gave me your blog link because I just started my own blog. I love what you’ve done with it! Mine is a very similar concept. I’m trying to break in the food industry in a sort of “human interest” sense…I love documenting trying out recipes. Granted, my blog is new, but my sort of mission statement is about asking South Asians from previous generations for their recipes and trying them out at home. I am trying to go cross-regional. Anyway, just wanted to say I’ll be following your blog (I may even try out your Chicken 65 recipe and blog about it, giving you due credit of course). I would also love to chat sometime about food-loving and blogging. Take care. My email address is Anita.L.Kumar@gmail.com

Hi Anita,
Good luck with your blog – it looks great! It looks like we have similar food habits as I too love every cuisine EXCEPT for some odd reason Ethiopian. I, too, have only semi-liked it in Washington, DC – some of the best Ethiopian is in DC. I would love to chat sometime too!
